The most happening weddings is the wedding with a bend of two states. As we get to see two different cultures in one wedding. Hosted at the backwaters of Punnamada Resort, kerala, Parthiban & Kaveri’s multi-cultural wedding was a big grand celebration. The couple had a fun series of events to celebrate both their cultures & families, and we thoroughly felt connected with the cheery vibes. From the hearty laughs, the vivid decorations to the power-packed performances (Oops, and how can we forget their attention-grabbing outfits?

The couple chose Traditional Kerala Boat as their Destination wedding theme. The wedding was followed by two rituals Nair & Tamil Brahmin ritual. Planning a theme wedding with a unique prop like the Traditional Kerala boat was a challenging task as we have to blend the entire decoration with the theme .

It all began with the Haldi function with simple and elegant stage décor whisked up in yellow & green colour theme. It was completely taken over in Traditional way. Followed by the simple haldi function the wedding was at the best, as the couple wanted to tie the knot by following both the rituals by respecting each other’s culture. In the midst of the Lush greenery of the Punnamada resort the wedding mandap was set with a wooden structure on a long flat bottomed boat (barge) decorated traditionally with using elements like Traditional Lamp, bells & flower hangings. The entire barge was transformed into a beautiful traditional mandap with a back water view which was indeed a picturesque decor. The ambience was decked up with Traditional bells, Fur basket, Traditional umbrellas for trees (Muttukuda) and Tender coconut leaf hangings (Kuruthola Hangings). The tiffany chairs bowed with golden staurn was arranged on the peaceful banks of vembanad lake to make the guests comfortable for the function. The Guests were welcomed and was escoted by Kathakali & Panchavadyam artists to their seats . Being so relaxed on the banks of the vembanad lake the guest enjoyed the unique entries of the Bride & Groom, the bride entered the venue in decorated Shikkar (Kettuvallam) with her family and then entered the mandap with Flower Chaadhar and the groom entry was with decorated Olakuda accompanied with Nadaswaram and Thakil which bought the vibe of wedding in the entire venue. Accompaniments like Traditional themed Entrance Arch and Welcome board using with traditional props like Traditional Lamps, Uruli,Kalsh pots and Brass elements like Brass Ladies statue, Ganapathy statue, Lakshmi Lamp, Golden Elephant added up the extra beauty to the entire event and made it as a Royal Traditional Wedding.
