fairytale wedding. The bride’s family lives in Mumbai, and the guests were primarily from
Mumbai and Palakkad. The bride, Upasana is the daughter of the founder of the prestigious
Arya Vaidhya Pharmacy. This Hindu wedding ceremony was a celebration of traditional
customs, a quintessential Nambiar wedding.

The couples’ nuptials commenced with a three-day long celebration starting with the
Bachelor Party which was hosted at Le Meridien. It was an intimate get-together with cousins
and friends of the bride and groom. A bachelor party can never be average or understated.
Celebrations started on high gear with the DJ party and water drums that got everyone
grooving on the dance floor. Taking up the party vibe up a notch, the masquerade themed
party added to to the element of glamour and glitz. A party is never a party without libations
and keeping in step with theme, the coasters and the drinkware was personalised for the
event, which the guests loved.

be. The Muhurtham was completed early morning 7.30 am at Le Meridien. The hawankund

exchanged their vows to each other. A traditional mandap was created for the thalikettu ritual
. Mandap was decorated with bamboo styled pillars and fresh tube rose and rose hangings
befitting the colour theme of red, gold and white.
For the remaining rituals, they chose the gorgeous, spacious Chakolas Convention
Center,. The bride’s brother welcomed the groom with a beautiful welcome bouquet and
garland. Olakudda was the traditional elelment used by the bride’s brother to welcome and
receive the groom to the wedding mandap.

red flowers like Roses,Anthuriums and Lilies. Thakil and nadaswaaram music played as the
bride and groom entered and during each ritual. Chendamelam is customary in all traditional
Malayali weddings, typically played while welcoming the guests.
